Fall Season

I love Autumn.

Here in NY we did not see the usual bursting colors of bright Gold or Red leaves this year – not enough cool weather nor rain. But, it’s Fall.

I started a nice cozy, bulky cowl ,in this beautiful Green. Housed in my new Sheep project bag. I’m using #11 needles and knitting in the round, knit, knit, knit, knit…

The Farmer’s Market is winding down for the Season. I’ve stocked up on Cilantro and Red & Yellow Peppers …going to try my hand at canning small jars of Sofrito….we’ll see how that goes!

Jewel colors

I love the jewel tone color way of this beautiful soft chunky yarn (Lion Brand Yarn).

Working on a cowl…a really warm cowl using a large R hook (as thick as a pretzel rod stick). I’m making the cowl tall to be able to roll it over or hide under it during very cold weather. Stitching half double crochet stitches around and around. I’m almost finished!

Together we’ve done a lot…

I’ve done a lot of crocheted items: hats, scarves, cowls, lapghans, and fingerless gloves for our charity projects. Added together my Stitch & Bitch donated in excess of 200 stitched items. I am grateful as a group could offer so much.

On my #8 needles today is a sunny, lighter weight baby blanket (for a friend’s baby). I’m using Caron Simply soft for Spring & Easter.

Infinity scarves…

3 Infinity Scarfs Dec 2014 gifts

I made a number of infinity cowls for gifts this Christmas.  I also made one for myself in the pink/rose color. I used a K hook for the Peacock Blue cowl and a J hook for the other two using a hdc on all.

My current WIP is a neck warmer cowl in a V-stitch:
