#WIP – Work in progress…
itty bitty preemie baby hats (and newborn for Charity). Using my 8.5″ #8 circular needles. Depending on the size of the hat I want I cast on 35 or 42 for preemie size.
Knit around creates a rolled edge hat. At 3″ 1k. k2tog *. Cut a 10″ length of yarn, weave through the top to cinch the hat, weave in the ends.
Enjoying a recent deal on Caron Simply Soft yarn, from Michael’s….love the colors!
Multiple works in progress…it’s how my brain rolls. I’m trying to focus my work on making more adults hats for our homeless shelter charity project but those baby hats sneak on my hook. Happy hooking and knitting!
I’m a lefty, my mom said I often changed hands when I was learning…I wanted to do both, why not!?
Working on: A solid granny square colorful throw on my hooks. It’s for a charity project that will go to a local family shelter. My Stitch & Bitch makes hats/gloves/scarves, etc. to donate every December.
A fav: Bigelow Spiced Chai tea+ a winning protein bar & my Crochet. 🙂
With a lot of craziness going on in our country, and the world, I gladly turn to my hooks and needles to create inner peace.
Summertime = more colorful ☺ cotton on my hooks & needles. I’m still whipping up cute girlie headbands. I’ve added another charity cause for girls with Craniosynostosis. One of my friends sends care packages, a few times a year that will be added to care boxes they send to families. So, I have decided to do some of these for them as well.
I’ve done a lot of crocheted items: hats, scarves, cowls, lapghans, and fingerless gloves for our charity projects. Added together my Stitch & Bitch donated in excess of 200 stitched items. I am grateful as a group could offer so much.
On my #8 needles today is a sunny, lighter weight baby blanket (for a friend’s baby). I’m using Caron Simply soft for Spring & Easter.
